Ensuring the social and emotional well-being of youngsters
The goals of this committee are to:
- Promote social-emotional development and school readiness of young children from birth to age 5,
- Facilitate best practices in early childhood education through the use of research-based social/emotional strategies, and
- Support, train, and educate childcare professionals and staff using the Pyramid Model for Supporting Social Emotional Competence in Preschool Children, including infants and young children.
Our top three priorities are to:
- Identify resources
- Identify or develop professional or parent training opportunities
- Develop pathways for parents to receive services
